Online Film Competition
he “LGBTQI+ Voices – Amplifying Rights Through Film” project concluded with an international online dissemination event in the form of a film competition, bringing together creative contributions from partner countries and beyond. This final event represented a key moment of the project, not only showcasing the work developed throughout the activities, but also reinforcing its core mission: to use audiovisual storytelling as a tool for advocacy, inclusion, and social change.
Preparation and Coordination
The organization of the event was the result of strong international cooperation among project partners. Each organization contributed with specific responsibilities to ensure a smooth and professional implementation.
The Polish partner was responsible for the development of the agenda, structuring the flow of the event and ensuring a balanced combination of presentation, screening, and evaluation moments.
The Spanish partner managed the technical coordination of the Zoom platform, guaranteeing accessibility and effective participation for an international audience.
At the same time, all partners collaborated in the promotion and dissemination of the event, sharing information through their networks, social media channels, and local communities. This coordinated effort allowed the event to reach participants not only from Spain, Italy, and Poland, but also from other countries such as France, increasing its international dimension and impact.

The Event
The event was conducted entirely online in order to ensure accessibility and inclusivity, allowingparticipants and viewers from different countries to join without barriers.
At the beginning of the session, the host, Fortunato Valente, introduced the project, providing an
overview of its objectives, activities, and the journey developed throughout the year. Thisintroduction helped contextualize the competition and highlighted the importance of givingvisibility to LGBTQI+ voices through creative media.
Following this, the jury members were introduced, and the screening phase began. For approximately 15 minutes, the audience had the opportunity to watch a selection of short filmsaddressing LGBTQI+ rights, each reflecting different perspectives, storytelling approaches, and technical styles.
Evaluation and Jury
The submitted films were evaluated in three categories:
- Best Script
- Best Directing
- Best Video
The evaluation process was carried out by a professional international jury composed of:
Victor Soldano cinephile from south Italy; Segio Durrè, from Italy, with a wide background as actor,photographer, videographer and editor, active since 20 years in the industry; and Lena Bayonactress from Spain, involved in cinema projects, ADV and speaker for sport events.
The judges brought together diverse expertise in cinema, acting, and audiovisual production,ensuring a high-quality and fair assessment of all entries.
Winners
At the end of the screening, the jury selected the winners:
- Best Script – Poland
- Best Directing – Italy
- Best Video – Poland
Poland stood out with two awards, while Italy was recognized for its excellence in directing.
Impact and Dissemination
The event successfully amplified marginalized voices and created a shared digital space for storytelling, dialogue, and reflection. The active participation of both the jury and the audience, with more than 20 attendees, for more than 60minutes demonstrated the relevance and impact of such initiatives.
Beyond the live event, the dissemination strategy ensures long-term visibility of the project results.
All short films remain accessible online, allowing a wider audience to engage with the content even after the conclusion of the project.
The videos are available on YouTube and on the official project website, contributing to the sustainability of the project and its educational value.
Conclusion
This final event marked not only the conclusion of the project, but also the beginning of a broader dissemination phase. By combining creativity, digital tools, and international collaboration, the project successfully demonstrated how storytelling can promote inclusion, challenge stereotypes, and inspire positive social change.
